Wet, cold and windy Broome

14 September

We decided to try our luck at seeing the wrecks of the flying boats, so we set off across the mud flats from town beach but there again the tides weren’t in our favour. To see the wrecks the tides need to be very low and they weren’t low enough although John did manage to wade out far enough before the tide turned to get some footage of part of the wrecks showing above the water.

Because we were all wet and cold by then we called in at the cafe there for coffee and watched a group of grade 5 PEAC (Primary Extension and Academic Challenge - a service for gifted and talented students in WA) students going out with a seagrass watch (international organisation based in Australia promoting the assessment, monitoring and conservation of sea grass meadows throughout the globe) volunteer to study the sea grass on the mud flats.

Stormy, windy wet and cold weather today so there again haven't done much other site seeing but the day isn't over yet...............
