Sadly time to move on out of this peaceful sanctuary and out onto the rough road again. This time we travelled 4 km back along the Gibb once we reached the junction to Mornington, as we were intending to head back to Mt Barnett to refuel on Wednesday. Back along the Gibb we turned in to the track to Charnley River Station. Pleasant shady campsite there, on GRASS amongst paperbarks beside a dry creek bed with peacocks and some Euros visiting us again.

There are gorges to visit here but not a lot of water in them so we felt seeing as we were starting to feel all gorged out anyway that we would have an easy quiet (except for the noise of the generator) relaxing afternoon.
